The most unique image you will ever know

The Process

Most of the sculptures shown on this website can be seen at our workshop in Wimborne, Dorset but are just an example of what we can offer. An image can be created of faces, busts, torso, or even full body and cast in plaster, cold metal or resin and be as is, or decorated in glass, stone or other paint effects, the only real limit is your imagination.

The first step is to come and see us and have a look at some of the beautiful designs we can undertake, we will also talk you through the whole process and offer guidance as to what will work and what will not work. This is not a high pressure selling environment, we want to create something unique, beautiful and personal for you that will be treasured for years to come.

The process itself is easy although a bit messy and the cast itself should take less than one hour. We usually use a silicone mould which is applied direct to the body – this is skin safe and is used by special effects artist and in medical prosthetics. The silicone cures quite rapidly and a plaster shell is then built on top.

Once the mould is removed, the shell is further reinforced and the casting process begins, this can be fairly involved and from first cast to finished piece can take from 1 to 5 weeks.

We ask for a 25% deposit with your commission but will refund this to you and cancel all charges if you are not fully delighted with the finished sculpture.

Please call or email before your visit. We look forward to meet you soon.
